The role is Ed  He is 30ish he is a cab driver and going to college.  He really likes Dorothy a women from college who just happens to choose his cab to be brought to this old house.  Where crazy eben, Hepizbah and Arabella live and where we don't know if anyone will make it out alive.

CASTING CALL FOR EDUCATIONAL VIDEO INTENDED FOR HAIRSTYLISTS
To take place:
riday, February 8, 2013 from 10:30am to 3:00pm

THE PROJECT
ducational publisher is creating a 25 minute video to depict salon critical 
usiness practices within dramatic role-playing scenarios. We only have one day 
o complete the shoot. All scenes will be shot on location in Schenectady NY and 
cripts that the Publisher has written will be provided to the chosen talent in 
dvance to prepare.  Scripts include dialogue between a hairstylist and 
ustomers to show booking an appointment, buying retail, and consultation 
rocess.
THE TALENT
ilady seeks 3 actors:

          One female to play new customer: 20-30 years old; medium to long 
ength, dark hair. Needs to be willing to trim hair (bring length up) and 
referably frame face with layers (Note: We are willing to discuss the hairstyle 
ith the model - it doesn't have to be a drastic haircut.)

*          One female to play the hairstylist:  18-35 years old; background in 
osmetology is ideal but not necessary; looking for great personality and 
omfortable on camera; preferably ethnically diverse (not Caucasian).

*          One male or female to act as receptionist or client in waiting room - 
o speaking role. Young Male or Female in their 20's.
ll actors must be available for rehearsal on Saturday, March 9 from 2pm to 5pm 
nd the shoot date of Sunday, March 10, 2013.
ctors selected will receive payment and compensation to be discussed if chosen 
or the role. Payment will depend on role ranging from $200-750.
ll actors must have their own transportation.

SHREK THE MUSICAL, based on the OscarR winning DreamWorks film that started
t all, brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to dazzling
ew life on the stage. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get
gly when an unseemly ogre - not a handsome prince - shows up to rescue a
eisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won't shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT
emper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits,
nd you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's
ne on hand...and his name is Shrek. Full of all-new songs, great dancing
nd breathtaking scenery, SHREK THE MUSICAL is part romance, part twisted
airy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone! 

AUDITIONS: This production will be for ages 7-18 years old. Auditions will
e FRIDAY, MARCH 1st from 6-8pm (sign ups begin at 5:45) and also SUNDAY,
ARCH 3rd from 1-3pm (sign ups begin at 12:45pm)  at St. Mary's Church,
olumbia Turnpike, Rensselaer.  Auditions will be held in rooms 4 and 6. If
ou have TAP DANCE Experience please bring Tap Shoes to the auditions.
Adult Fiona should have tap experience and there is also a large tap
nsemble featured in the production)  Rehearsals will begin the last week of
arch and continue for the 8 weeks leading to the show. Tuition will be
175. A $25 audition fee is payable at auditions. NO AUDITIONS ARE ALLOWED
NLESS THIS FEE IS PAID AT REGISTRATION. If cast this fee goes towards your
uition. If not cast your original uncashed check will be returned to you.
here are approximately 40 roles available for this production. This is a
uge production being run with a live Pit Orchestra. It will require a large
ommitment for rehearsals since we have just 8 weeks to stage this show.
here will only be 2 conflicts allowed- NO EXCEPTIONS. We will post a
entative rehearsal schedule before auditions.  Audition forms can be
equested by emailing caps at nycap.rr.com. 

This production will be one the first in the ENTIRE COUNTRY!!!!! 
If you are interested in Auditioning for the role of SHREK you are asked to
repare the song Build a Wall and be familiar with Who I'd Be.   FIONA
andidates are asked to prepare Morning Person. DONKEY candidates are asked
o prepare Don't Let Me Go and LORD FARQUAAD candidates should prepare
hat's Up Dulac.  (if music copies are needed please email
aps at nycap.rr.com)   All other roles (including main roles like Pinocchio
nd other fairy tale characters) should come prepared with at least 16
easures of a song and bring a photo and resume (if you have one).

haracter Breakdown

ONKEY
Donkey is a talking donkey on the run from Farquaad's guards. After being
aved by Shrek he sticks by Shrek's side and accompanies him on his trip to
ave Fiona from the far away castle. 

. 

RAGON
A female dragon that has been charged with guarding Princess Fiona in her
solated castle. When Shrek and Donkey arrive at the castle it is Shrek who
oes to rescue the princess and Donkey who finds himself at the mercy of
ragon. Donkey becomes trapped by Dragon and becomes her prisoner of love.
n terror, he successfully, but unintentionally, wins her over. Dragon comes
ack at the end of the musical to help save the day with Farquaad.

IONA
Princess Fiona is the princess of Far Far Away, daughter of King Harold and
ueen Lillian. Fiona has a transforming spell over her that turns her into
n ogre every night when the sun sets. This spell can only be broken with a
rue loves' kiss. Upon meeting Shrek she finds that she has fallen in love
ith him. 

ORD FARQUAAD
A comically short, ruthless ruler of the huge castle of Duloc. In his
ursuit of perfection he attempts to rid the city of fairytale creatures.
arquaad wants to become a king but because he is not of royal stock, he
annot until he marries a princess. 

HREK
Prides himself on being a big, green, terrifying ogre. Shrek was kicked out
t a young age to live alone until the fairytale creatures disturb him in
is swamp. In an effort to regain his peace he goes on a trip along the way
eeting Donkey who accompanies him the rest of his journey to Duloc, to save
rincess Fiona and back again.
