LOOKING FOR TALENTED INDIVIDUALS FOR THE SUMMER OF 2013


Position Title: MUSIC DIRECTOR  for Shrek the Musical
 
Application Deadline:  3/15/13
Salary/Pay Scale: Per BARC YOUTH THEATRE contract
Time: 2 nights a week, 3 hours a 6:00pm-9:00pm, starting in May; must be
available for all rehearsals and dress rehearsals for tech week, as well as,
performances. Performances are August 9-17, 2013
Requirements:
Music teacher certification preferred, not required. 3 to 4 years music
directing and theatrical experience. Vocal training a plus.  Must be able to
conduct a full live orchestra and play piano.
Description:
A) to cast the show in conjunction with the artistic director and the
choreographer B) to prepare the cast musically C) to assemble, prepare and
manage the necessary musicians D) to musically conduct the show and the
assembled musicians E) to maintain the integrity of the approved production
budget F) to attend all production meetings G) to attend all scheduled
rehearsals, including every rehearsal held in the theatre H) to maintain a
liaison with the artistic director in order to support the artistic vision
of the production I) to provide the producer with regular progress reports
J) to distribute to the musicians all orchestral scores and/or parts as
provided by the stage manager K) to collect from the musicians all
orchestral scores and/or parts at the end of the production and to ensure
their good condition L) to ensure compliance with all copyright and contract
conditions

Salary/Pay Scale: Per BARC YOUTH THEATRE contract
Time: 2 nights a week, 3 hours a 6:00pm-9:00pm, starting in May; must be
available for all rehearsals and dress rehearsals for tech week, as well as,

coincide with the directors vision of the production C) to teach the cast
the dance numbers and stage movements D) to maintain the integrity of the
approved production budget F) to attend all scheduled rehearsals F) to
attend all production meetings G) to maintain a liaison with the artistic
director in order to support the artistic vision of the production H) to
provide the producer with regular progress reports I) to ensure compliance
with all copyright and contract conditions

Position Title: MAKEUP DESIGNER for Shrek the Musical
 
Application Deadline:  3/15/13
Salary/Pay Scale: Per BARC YOUTH THEATRE contract
Time: 3 Hours a night 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Starting July 29th, 2013.
Performances are August 9-17, 2013
Description:
A) to design the cast makeup, in conjunction with the artistic director B)
to procure the necessary make-up required for the cast in order to
complement the artistic vision of the production C) to supervise the make-up
crew D) to supervise the actors in applying some of their own make-up E) to
maintain the integrity of the approved production budget F) to attend all
production meetings G) to provide the producer with regular progress reports
