The Valatie Community Theatre announces auditions for The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare [Abridged]. This world-renowned play attempts to take all of the works of William Shakespeare and attempts to cover them all in one theatrical performance.

Thanks to The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged], you can experience ALL the comedies, ALL the tragedies, ALL the histories, and even a nod to the sonnets, neatly compressed into a 100-minute package performed by three actors.

The three actor show, written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield continues successful runs by resident theatre companies world-wide annually. Traditionally, the show is performed by three male actors but auditions for V.C.T.’s production will be open to both male and female actors.

Auditioners are asked to prepare a Shakespearian speech of no less than 15 seconds but no more than 60 seconds. Dialogue (sides) from the show will also be provided for cold readings and auditioners should also be prepared for physical comedy as well – the show features multiple scenes with stage combat - so please make sure to stretch out and come prepared to move around.

Auditions are scheduled for Wednesday July 17th at 7:00pm at the theater, 3031 Main Street, Valatie, NY and Thursday July 18th at 7:00 p.m. at a place to be determined. Call backs as well as additional audition times will be scheduled on Saturday July 20th at 1:00 p.m. If you have any questions you can contact the producer, Michael Rivenburg at 518-758-1309 or info at valatietheatre.org or director, Rob Currier at 518-732-1038 or Robert_N_Currier at hotmail.com.
