Seeking Girls 14 - 20 formulti media project. Looking for those interested in writing, acting, oralhistory, video production or on-camera interviewing.

Please prepare a short dramaticmonologue.
 
Performance Date: Saturday May 11th(matinee and evening performance) at the Steamer Ten Theater.
Performers must be available foran afternoon workshop with the Veteran Women on Saturday March 23rd.  
Rehearsals will be Monday andTuesdays evenings (with occasional Wednesdays and Thursdays as we get closer tothe performance), beginning the last week in March.

Overview of the project:
In workshops with the womenveterans we will explore, process and develop dramatic writing and videointerviews from the perspective of women veteran.  The topics will range from ideas of home, returning home,military, country, society and so on.  Their writing and videos wouldserve as an entry point for a group of local high school girls (fostering aninter-generational conversation). In workshops the young women will discuss, research and explore thestories crafted by the women veterans. The veterans and high school students will meet to process and creatework together.  Over the course of10 weeks the high school students will develop a theatrical piece to beperformed based on the lives of the veteran women and the girls’ responses totheir life experiences.  The finalproduct will be an interactive, multimedia theater performance that will incorporatevideo footage of the veterans, performance of the collaborative writings of theveterans and high school students and an opportunity for the audience to beapart of the performance by telling their unseen, untold story.
