>From the company that brought you last summer’s sold out run of CHICAGO…The
Local Actors Guild of Saratoga proudly announce their auditions for *THE
BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS!* The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is
based on the true story of a legendary Texas Brothel known as the Chicken
Ranch, which operated from the 1840s to 1973. Protected by a friendly
Sheriff and frequented by politicians, football teams and others, the
Chicken Ranch thrived in the small town of Gilbert, Texas. Girls come from
all over to work at the ranch and make a little extra cash. However, a
crusading do-gooder Houston radio commentator and his conservative audience
expose the Chicken Ranch forcing it to shut its doors forever.



Show dates July 13, 14, 20 & 21

Rehearsals start May 19th and are Sunday, Monday & Wednesday’s

Available Roles:

Miss Mona’s Girls: (all characters are age 20-40)
Angel
Shy
Linda Lou
Ruby Ray
Beatrice
Eloise
Durla
Dawn
Taddy Jo
Ginger

The Men:
Sheriff Ed Earl (30-50)
C.J. Scruggs (20-40)
Mayor Rufus  (20-40)
Edsel Mackey (20-40)

All people cast will be playing multiple roles in addition to their
principal character which will include Aggie Football Players, The Melvin
P. Thorpe Singers, Cheerleaders and many more.

Please come prepared with a 16 bar upbeat Broadway musical or country song.
Be prepared to do a dance audition.

Auditions will be held at the Saratoga Arts Center, 320 Broadway, Saratoga
Springs on Monday May 13 & Tuesday May 14th – sign in starts at 6:45pm
