*EXCITING, FUN WEEK OF CAMP*

*INTRODUCTING 2013 **SHAKESPERIENCE!***

*SARATOGA SHAKESPEARE COMPANY*

This summer,* *Saratoga Shakespeare Company is offering a wonderful program
for children aged between ages 9-18. *2013 Shakespearience! *is a week-long
summer theatre experience that provides participants an opportunity to
engage in an active, playful exploration into the world of Shakespeare.

There are 2 groups to select from depending on the age of the child.
Running from *Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26*, each day is
scheduled from 10:00 am ending at 3:00 pm at Skidmore College.  Enrollment
is $200 for the week per student and includes tuition, a
*Shakespearience! *t-shirt,
and Friday "pizza-day" lunch.

*Young Bards - ages 9-13*

A thrilling week of ensemble exercises and theater games with a
Shakespearean twist!  Kids will be introduced to the language, stories and
characters in Shakespeare’s plays by celebrating the playfulness and
imagination within themselves and others in the group.

*SSC Teen Ensemble - ages 14-18*

A week long acting intensive that focuses on what it means to be a part of
a theatre company!  Students will have training in: voice and movement,
improvisation, ensemble work, Shakespearean scene study, and stage combat.

*The week culminates with each group presenting scenes on the SSC stage in
Congress Park for family and friends before Friday’s performance of The
Merry Wives of Windsor!*

Led by SSC’s Director of Education, Tim Dugan, *Shakespearience!* will
offer children a summer experience quite different from other options.  It
promises to focus on the specific craft of performing Shakespeare and will
provide them an opportunity to be a part of a professional theater company.

For twelve years Saratoga Shakespeare has provided live professional
theater for countless families, introducing Shakespeare to our young
people. We offer a theatrical interlude for our community and its many
visitors on hot summer evenings in Saratoga’s idyllic Congress Park.
