*Confetti Stage Announces Combined Auditions for Upcoming Productions*
Monday, October 21 & Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00pm
(possible callbacks Wednesday, October 23)
Held at the Albany Masonic Hall, 67 Corning Place, Albany, NY
We are seeking a diverse range of actors to fill roles in the next 3 shows
of the season: The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, A Piece of My Heart, and
Bent.
Auditions will consist of readings from the scripts. No monologues
necessary. Headshots/resumes will be accepted, but are not required.

In the beginning there was God. She wore a headset and created the world
cue by cue. Confetti Stage celebrates a belated Christmas with this
hilarious retelling of the Old Testament which asks the question, “What if
God had created Adam and Steve…?” From Eden to Chelsea, follow the couple,
along with Jane and Mabel, as they experience the first brunch, the flood,
a flamboyant Pharaoh, the Nativity, AIDS, heterosexuals, and a
wheelchair-bound, Jewish lesbian Rabbi from cable access TV. Oy!
CHARACTERS:
9 roles (4m / 5f)
Stage Manager - Female - any age. God. Sleek and incredibly capable
Adam - Male - 20's - Of Eden. Fair, attractive, wide-eyed, and
innocent with a slim yet athletic or toned build. Adam is overwhelmingly
and passionately curious and in love with the world's possibilities. *Role
requires partial nudity.*
Steve - Male - mid 20's to early 30's - Adam's better half. Handsome with a
moderately athletic build. Steve is good natured but firm in his opinions.
*role requires partial nudity.*
Jane - Female - 20's - Also of Eden. Hefty, proudly and impressively butch,
boisterous, and tough-minded with a short fuse. Jane is also warm-hearted,
generous, earthy, and wonderfully sane.
MabeL - Female - 20's - Jane's better half. Thin, sprite-like, classic
beauty. Mabel always responds emotionally to any situation; she is
tremulous, hopeful, and sympathetic to everyone.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Confetti Stage presents an award-winning
play about 6 women who went to Vietnam. This emotionally powerful and true
story follows the women before, during, and after their time in the jungle
of Southeast Asia as each of them struggles to make sense of a war that
forever changed their lives and the nation that shunned them.
CHARACTERS:
7 roles (6f/1m)
Actresses portraying these roles also portray a variety of other roles in
the play; military personnel, friends, relatives, acquaintances, over a
20-year period. The male actor plays all the male roles in the play.
MARTHA – 22-42. Strong, self-composed, aura of self-discipline, military
bearting. Strong face, American, almost pioneer in feeling.
MARYJO – 17-37. Blond, pretty, outgoing, bubbly personality. Texas accent.
Sexy; a funny comedienne quality; but sad inside. Must be skillful
guitarist and singer.
SISSY – 20-140. Sweet, feminine, outgoing. Sense of fun. Also sense of
harmony and warmth to personality.
WHITNEY – 21-41. Tall, slender, withdrawn, contained. Very aristocratic in
bearing and quality. A Vassar graduate.
LEEANN – 20-40. Asian or Ameriasian. Attractive. Strong, tough, determined
in nature. An urban, hip quality to her personality.
STEELE – 35-55. African American. Extremely strong, military bearing. Very
intelligent, outgoing, great sense of humor. A pragmatist. Southern.
THE AMERICAN MEN – 18-60. Versatile actor needed for variety of roles.

Celebrating Gay Pride Month, Confetti Stage offers a riveting story of love
in the midst of the Holocaust. Max is a man on the run. From the
SS-infiltrated streets of Berlin to the refugee-filled forests of Germany
to the trains of terror that raced the innocent to inevitable destruction,
he struggles to keep his soul afloat amidst the horrors of the labor camps,
where even love is still possible.
CHARACTERS:
11 roles (11m)
Maximillian Berber - 30’s. Wheeler dealer who leads a hedonistic lifestyle
prior to being captured by the Nazis. Will make a deal with anyone,
including his Nazi captors.
Rudy - Late 20’s - early 30’s. Boyfriend of Max at beginning of play.
Effusive homebody who tends to become hysterical at times.
Horst - 20’s. Kind-natured, sensitive man Max befriends in Dacheu.
Relatively muscular.
Greta - late 30’s. A cross dresser who owns and performs at a gay nightclub
until arrival of the Nazi’s. Now lives again with his wife and children.
Uncle Freddie - early 50’s. Closeted homosexual who masks his predilections
with a wife and children for the sake of his prestigious family name.
Man - No name given. Comes home with Max after a night of partying.
5 German soldiers - late 40’s
