Character Descriptions for Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure

All characters require strong British accents, unless otherwise noted.

Sherlock Holmes: 30's. Handsome, fit and tall. A sharp witted, self
satisfied man wholly believing in his own abilities. Arrogant and a tad
smarmy; sexy in the most oblivious way. He is restless and must
constantly find ways to occupy his over active mind, which often results
in his forays into substance abuse.

Doctor John Watson: 30's. Handsome and fit, but much more conservative
than Sherlock, and probably shorter. Intelligent, but lacks Sherlock's
keen insight. He is unquestioningly loyal, and in the ways he can be, a
protector of Holmes. He is very aware of the limits of his abilities but
also Holmes' reliance on him.

Irene Adler: 30's. A rare beauty and completely self-possessed. She is
known as an Opera Prima Donna and "a well-known adventuress." Her
intelligence is a match for Holmes, and she knows it. Despite her own
feelings for Sherlock, she is unafraid to use his feelings for her to
her advantage. Additional consideration for actresses who can sing,
preferably a soprano, though not required.

Professor Moriarty: 30's - 40's. A professor, author and abstract
thinker. The dark mirror image of Holmes in intelligence but thrives on
the rush of criminal enterprise. He engages Holmes as a matter of self
preservation, but is increasingly drawn to him.

The King of Bohemia: 40's - 60's. A giant, bombastic man, preparing to
marry but must put to rest a terrible scandal involving Irene Adler, of
which she holds the only photographic proof. He is loud and has the
forcefulness of royalty, but with a "bull-in-a-china-shop" comedic
element. Speaks with an Eastern European/Slavic accent.

James Larabee (aka Godfrey Norton): 30's - 50's. Former legal counsel;
swindler; rake and confidence man of dubious morals.Crony to Moriarty.

Madge Larabee (aka Marie): 20's - 40's. Sister of James and his partner
in deception.

Sid Prince: 20's. Moriarty's lackey and explosives expert. Also, doubles
as Postboy, Clergyman, Policeman, Young Swiss Man.
