[Capdist-auditions] Looking for Male Actor for Crimes of the Heart, North Adams, Mass.

We are seeking a male actor for the part of Doc Porter.  The actor should
be able to convincingly play a role between 25-35, but will consider
slightly younger and older.

In "Crimes of the Heart", the three Magrath sisters have gathered to await
news of the family patriarch, their grandfather, who is living out his last
hours in the local hospital. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at
thirty and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the middle sister,
who quickly outgrew their small town, is back after a failed singing career
on the West Coast; while Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having
shot her husband in the stomach. Their troubles, grave and yet, somehow,
hilarious, are highlighted by their priggish cousin, Chick, and by the
awkward young lawyer who tries to keep Babe out of jail while helpless not
to fall in love with her.

Performance dates are November 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, and 16th.

Mill City Productions a non-profit, community-based, multigenerational
collaborative focused on creating an outlet for expression and education
for theatrical veterans and novices alike. Our goal is to create a
theatrical troupe to serve the community of North Berkshire County,
Massachusetts, with theatre that is both entertaining and accessible to
those with limited live theatre resources, and educational for both
individuals and organizations, such as schools, as to the methods and means
of theatre production.
