[Capdist-auditions] Lead actor for low-budget, feature film

I need a leading man for my low-budget film noir to be shot in the Albany area in the coming months. The character is a down-on-his-luck detective who is investigating a series of murders in which all the victims are gay men. As he becomes more involved with the underground gay world of 1959, when the story takes place, he strives to find the killer while coming to terms with his own repressed sexuality. The actor should be in his late 30s or early 40s. There is no pay but the script is character driven and should provide an excellent showcase for cast members. Problems with SAG requirements and scheduling issues have made it necessary to recast this role. This is a great opportunity for the right actor.
