REMINDER!!



Theater Voices will hold auditions for a staged reading of *A Doll's House*
by Henrik Ibsen

Translation by Simon Stephens

Directed by Margaret E. Hall



Auditions will be held Sunday, December 7 and Monday, December 8 from 7-9pm
at Steamer No. 10 Theatre 500 Western Avenue Albany (corner of West
Lawrence.)

Actors will be asked to read scenes from the play. Please arrive on time
and be prepared to stay until the end of the auditions.

Performances are February 13-15, 2015

Rehearsals will begin mid-January



Audition Breakdown for *A DOLL’S HOUSE*



*Nora Helmer* 30s - late 40s - high strung, a pleaser and a worrier, Nora
has never been her own woman (person), but rather that of the main man in
her life; she plays house rather than lives life.



*Torvald Helmer *40s - a lawyer; Torvald is the head of the house, he
treats his wife Nora like a toy and his life like a fairy tale, he can
switch moods with the snap of a finger.



*Kristine Linde *40s - childhood friend of Nora’s who’s recently returned
to town; older and wiser than Nora; motherly; made the wrong life choice
when she was younger and is searching for the right one now.



*Nils Krogstad* mid to late 40s - lawyer; a fairly controlling and corrupt
man out for himself.



*Dr. Rank *50s or older - a hypochondriac; has always fancied Nora; best
friend to Torvald; he’s somewhat of a doting Uncle figure to both Torvald
and Nora.



*Anna *- late 20s - 30s; the Helmer’s nanny; very motherly



*Helene *- mid to late 20s; the Helmer’s maid; meek
