[Capdist-auditions] Announcing Auditions for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Hello Friends of the RPI Players,

The RPI Players would like formally announce that the auditions for our
spring musical, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, will be held at the *RPI
Playhouse* on *Sunday, February 2nd at 1PM *after the RPI Players' general
meeting and on* Monday, February 3rd at 6PM. *

We ask that all auditioners prepare 16-32 bars of music. It can be from the
show, or from anything else. No monologue is necessary, however you may be
asked to read individually after vocal auditions. Please bring a headshot
and resume if possible. We also ask that you could bring a list of
potential conflicts. The staff will do its best to accommodate conflicts
presented at auditions.

And yes, there will be dance auditions. Actors who are able to tap dance
should bring shoes and prepare a short piece to demonstrate their ability.

Some auditioners may be called back on Wednesday, February 5th at 6pm.

The musical, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, opened on Broadway in 1949 and
features such songs as "Bye, Bye Baby" <http://youtu.be/zbuTpGaO9_g>
and "Diamonds
Are a Girl's Best Friend" <http://youtu.be/0L8sHIU8YAg>. It is centered
around two singers and best friends, Lorelei Lee and Dorothy Shaw, who
travel to Paris. They are pursued by a private detective hired by Lorelei's
fiance's disapproving father to keep an eye on her, a rich enamored old man
