Audition Information for Students & Parents

 

WHEN & WHERE….

 

Open Calls

Friday, April 4, 2014 from 6:00 – 9:00 (sign-in closes at 8pm)

& Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 10:00am– 1:00 PM  (sign-in closes at 12:30pm)

 

Callbacks (As Needed)

Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2:30 – 6:00pm

All auditions/callbakcs to be held in

The Palace Theatre Lobby (use main theatre entrance)

WHAT TO PREPARE…

 

Audition Material

Please prepare 16 bars from any classic Broadway musical selection.

Piano accompaniment will be available. Please bring sheet music.

Please be prepared to dance. A short combination will be taught.

 

Please prepare a one page essay on one of the following topics….

For new students: What makes you want to study the performing arts?

For past PPH students: How has your theatre education impacted your life?

 

ROLES AVAILABLE…
All roles are available, and students will be considered for most roles.
Oliver is a large production with a variety of roles and featured moments.

NOTE: Male and Female students will be considered for orphan roles.

 

PROGRAM INFORMATION
Rehearsals/Workshops run July 7 – August 1, 2014 in Albany.

Performances to be held in Washington Park August 2-16, 2014
ALL conflicts must be made known at time of audition.
Tuition for six-week summer session: $900. Some scholarship assistance available.
