Scott R. Payne … Performance Director
When not directing the Schenectady Theater for Children this summer, Scott Payne can be found teaching magic and drama classes at the Helderberg Workshops. He is also a make up artist for many area theater companies. Otherwise, he can be found appearing and disappearing all over the capital district as the magician, Merdwyn the Mediocre.
Criss Macaione- Bilodeau … Education Coordinator
A long time actor and director with many theater companies in the capital region including Albany Civic Theater, Ghent Playhouse, Classic Theater Guild, Highlight Acting Troup and Actors Repertory Theatre, Criss currently works as a standardized patient at Albany Medical College training students. She has also worked with children in the outpatient oncology unit at Albany Medical Center. Criss holds a degree in Elementary Education and Speech & Theater and if there is a job in the theater, she has probably done it.
"The less a child is exposed to the arts, the more it shows."
The mission of The Schenectady Theater for Children
is to inspire children in the creative and performing arts…
whether it be as an audience member,
or with the satisfaction and confidence that comes along with achieving an artistic ability or a social goal.
