[Capdist-auditions] Auditions for Town Players of Pittsfield "God of Carnage"

Town Players of Pittsfield, one of the oldest non-profit community theater groups in the United States,  announcesauditions for a reading of God OfCarnage by Yasmina Reza.  Auditions will be held at the Whitney Center for theArts, 42 Wendell Avenue in Pittsfield on Wednesday and Thursday June 25thand 26th beginning at 7 PM. Thecast consists of two men and two women. Thereading will be presented on Sunday afternoon July 27th, and will bedirected by Matt Barbas.  


 In this this Tony Award winning play from 2009,a playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two setsof Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomaticniceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows,tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more thanjust their liberal principles in tatters.
