[Capdist-auditions] Oliver Student Auditions - Fee Required

[Park Playhouse]

The second show in Park Playhouse’s 26th Summer Season will bring to life Charles Dickens’ classic story of Oliver Twist, an orphan in 1830′s Great Britain who leads the life of a pickpocket in London. We’ll present this classic Broadway musical on our stage for the very first time, featuring dozens of our incredible students alongside great professional talent. With some of Broadway’s most beloved songs, this enchanting story is classic musical theatre at its finest. NOTE: Male and Female students will be considered for ALL orphan roles.

WHAT TO PREPARE…
Audition Material
Please prepare 16 bars from any classic Broadway musical selection.
Piano accompaniment will be available. Please bring sheet music.
Please be prepared to dance. A short combination will be taught.

Please prepare a one page essay on one of the following topics….
For new students: What makes you want to study the performing arts?
For past PPH students: How has your theatre education impacted your life?

ROLES AVAILABLE…
All roles are available, and students will be considered for most roles.
Oliver is a large production with a variety of roles and featured moments.
NOTE: Male and Female students will be considered for ALL orphan roles.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
Program is available for students ages 9-18 (age as of July 7, 2014)
Rehearsals/Workshops run July 7 – August 1, 2014 in Albany.
NOTE: THIS SEASON WILL FEATURE A NEW, EXPANDED WORKSHOP PROGRAM DURING
AN EXTENDED REHEARSAL/WORKSHOP PERIOD RUNNING 4 WEEKS.
Performances to be held in Washington Park August 2-16, 2014
ALL conflicts must be made known at time of audition.
Tuition for six-week summer session: $900. Some scholarship assistance available.
Early payment discount of $100 available for payment by May 1, 2014.
