Capital Repertory Theatre Seeks Musical Director for Summer STAR Program

STAR is a four week summer theatre program that allows up to 25 students, ages 10-13, to explore the world of theatre in an original and exciting way! Students will work alongside professional artists to create an original 45-minute performance piece based on a given theme - which just happens to be Greek Mythology this year.

The Musical Director will come into the program at the beginning of the third week – once the script has been created – and will be responsible for guiding the students in the creation and implementation of all musical elements in the script.  The Musical Director will also be responsible for playing the piano during the performances. 

Full Program Dates: July 7 – August 3, 2014;

9am-4pm Monday thru Friday

 

Musical Director Dates: July 21 – August 3, 2014;

9am-4pm Monday thru Friday 

(*These dates include the performance dates on August 3, 4, 5, 2014)

theRep is looking for individuals with a lot of enthusiasm to help engage and guide young minds in the creation of an original piece of theatre! 

This is a paid position!

You must be local as there is no housing included in this contract.
