As part ofPittsfield’s Third Thursday event on the evening of August 21, 2014 , TownPlayers of Pittsfield will be presenting  two staged readings of “Mum Bett’s Minute”, anew short play by Jesse Waldinger.  Anadditional performance is scheduled for August 16th, ElizabethFreeman Day, at the Ashley House,  homeof Mum Bett, in Sheffield, MA. Auditions for the three roles will be held atthe Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Avenue, Pittsfield, between 6:00and 9:00 p.m. on June 4th and June 5th.  The Director is Barbara Waldinger and the AssistantDirector is Denise Roller. 
The roles tobe filled are:
TheodoreSedgwick, Caucasian male, 35-40 years old.
John Ashley,Caucasian male, 60’s.
Mum Bett(Elizabeth Freeman), African-American female, 30’s.
