George Kaufman's second play, Helen of Troy NY, 1923 spoof on Troy's collar industry.  Looking for the following leads.  Send you head shot and resume to drittner at aol.com.  Musical.  Must be able to carry a tune. Rehearsals in Dec or Jan.  Perform in April: six shows in Troy, Albany and Schenectady.



Helen- (sings 5 songs, around 25 years old) works for Yarrow, in love with David Williams(his father fired her), she is poor, wise and smart. Afraid of getting hurt. She gets demoted at her job. Has a lot of good ideas, but no one listens to her. She is not appreciated enough for the good work she does. Gets into trouble often. Loves her sister.






David- (around 25 years old, sings 3 songs) in love with Helen, but married to Grace. Gets into trouble often. Good looking and smart. Trying to be optimist. Loving guy. Smart.






Yarrow- (around 50 years old, sings 2 numbers) Owner of Yarrow collar company, very proud of his business. Very stubborn person. Hates Harper Williams, his old partner(David's father). Very suspicious that everyone want to destroy his company. He hates Jennings. He wants Mince to marry Grace. Crazy about money. Acts crazy sometime.






Baron De Cartier- (around 30 years old, sings 4 songs) great photographer, dresses beautifully, very handsome and charming. He works with Theodore Mince- his model. The very high class nobleman-symbols-impressionism. 






Theodore Mince- (21 years old, sings 4 songs) works as a model for Baron. Good looking guy. Wears fourteen and a half size. He's very temperamental. Listens to Baron, whatever he says. It's hard for him to think for himself. Out-of-towner. Likes small towns, likes quiet. Living simple life. Not educated.






Grace- (20-25 years old, sings 3 songs) daughter of Yarrow, Jennings wants to marry her. She likes Mince. Young, good looking woman. A little shy. Listens to her father. She wants more out of her life. Would love to live in a big city, she is sick of Troy.  She loves Mince.






Harper Williams- (around 50 years old, sings 1 song) old Jarrow's business partner. Wants David, his son, to love Grace- Yarrow's daughter. In that way he can get into Yarrows business again. Smart guy.






Jennings- (around 40 years old, sings 2 songs) Yarrow's business partner, wants to marry Grace only to get into Yarrows business for a longer time. Very smart and fake. Tired business man. Treat people in a bad way. Will do everything for Yarrow. He stole Helen's idea of The Abraham project. He is a black character, also a liar. Believes he is always right.






(Already cast) Ms Pasanova- (around 23 years old, sings 2 songs) Russian actress, working for Baron. Very proud and aware of her beauty. Talented, came all the way from Russia to New York. Should speak Russian or be able to do Russian accent. Good looking. Tough lady with strong personality.
