Sylvia  

A love triangle between a man, his wife and his dog!

a fast paced comedy by A. R.. Gurney

 

November 2  and 4 with callbacks November 5, all  at 7pm 

Reading - Sunday November 9 at 6:30pm 

 

On stage at Sand Lake Center for the Arts, 2880 NY 43, Averill Park 

Performance January 16 - 25 

 

Needed: 3 women and 2 men 40-50s  plus  woman 20-30

 

Gregg and his wife married 22 years and having raised two children now have
an empty nest.  Note: Gregg sings

 

*Tom 50-60 fellow dog owner.

 

*Leslie - androgynous, psychiatrist.

 

*Phyllis- Kate's college friend from her  Vassar years

 

*The three roles above may be played by one person.

 

Sylvia, a dog  (mix of lab and poodle)- played by a woman, good comedic
timing, improve skill, fun role.

(Role originally played by Sarah Jessica Parker)

Actress must be comfortable with such activities as crotch sniffing and
other dog actions and does sing.

Wear comfort clothes. Knee pads will be provided.

 

There will be cold readings from the script
