Winter 2015 Acting Classes for Children Start at HMT!

Home Made Theater announces two acting classes for children ages six to 12
starting in January and running into February. All classes are held at the
Spa Little Theater in the Saratoga Spa State Park and are taught by Kate
Starczewski. 

Discovering Drama for students ages 6-8: Imagination techniques, pantomiming
skills, theater games, and storytelling exercises will all be explored in
this fun class for kids! Students will have the opportunity to work with
their scene partners as a team and learn the basics of theater while
expressing themselves in a fun and supportive environment. Discovering Drama
meets from 10:0am-11:00am, running for four consecutive Saturdays.
Discovering Drama costs $60.

Elements of Theater for students ages 9-12: Students will combine scripted
work with improvised scenes while learning how these techniques can vary.
They will explore different ways to communicate the parts of the story to
the audience while working with partners to create each scene. Monologue
work will also be explored (no memorization required). Elements of Theater
meets from 11:15am-12:30pm, running for four consecutive Saturdays. Elements
of Theater costs $75.

Registrations are accepted over the phone with a credit card, or by mail
with check or credit card.  Class size is limited to 12 students, and
reservations are accepted in the order they are received. Visit
