Alice in Wonderland is celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year.   The Schenectady Theater for Children is happy to announce that our campers will be presenting our original adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic story about a young girl who enters a fantastic world of nonsense and whimsy. Co-playwrights, Dee Mulford and Scott R. Payne, have tried to stay true to Carroll's tale while adding original songs with lyrics by Michael Payne and an original score by Arthur "Doc" Salvatore.

  Our two week camp will provide plenty of opportunities for young actors to express themselves creatively as they explore the mad-cap world of Wonderland.  

   "We're all mad here!” as the Cheshire Cat would say. 

For ages 8 to 14

Dates:   Monday thru Friday;

            Aug 17th through Aug 28th

Time:    9:00 am til 2:00 pm

         (Students will need to bring their   

          own snack, lunch and drinks)

   Scott R. Payne … Performance Director

When not directing the Schenectady Theater for Children this summer, Scott can be found teaching magic and drama classes at the Helderberg Workshops.  He is also a make up artist for many area theater companies.  

Otherwise, he can be found appearing and 

disappearing all over the capital district as the magician, Merdwyn the Mediocre.

Criss Macaione-Bilodeau  … Education Coordinator

A long time actor and director with many theater companies in the capital region including Albany Civic Theater, Ghent Playhouse, Classic Theater Guild, Highlight Acting Troup and Actors Repertory Theatre, Criss currently acts as a standardized patient at Albany Medical College training students.  She has also worked with children in the outpatient oncology unit and the pediatrics unit at Albany Medical Center.  Criss holds a degree in Elementary Education and Speech & Theater. Name any job in theater and she has probably done it.
