Summer Youth Programs are coming!
Classes begin July 6 through August 1.

Playful Performing Arts Camp
July 6-16th M, T, Th from 9a-12p
Ages 6-10 Cost: $85 for 2 week class
Instructor: Rebecca Andrews
>From pretend play to creating a play! In this camp, well explore drama
through improvisation, beginning with stories we all know and ending with
the creation of our own skit to perform. Come with your imagination and
creativity ready - because you will develop the story, create the
characters, and come up with the lines! Well also be exploring various
styles of dance and music. Maybe your character dances, sings, or both. Its
all up to you!

Kingdom of Dance Camp
July 8-17th W & F from 9-11a
Ages 6-10 Cost: $65 for 2 week class
Instructor: Rebecca Andrews
All royal characters dance: from the king to the princess, from the wizard
to the court jester! In fact, did you know ballet was invented by a king?
Each class will include a story from the world of dance, a ballet technique
class, and exploration of various other dance styles that your favorite
royal character might need to know!
Performance Date TBA
Dance Attire:
Girls: solid colored leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers
Boys: white t-shirt, black shorts or black dance tights, black leather
ballet slippers
Ballet slippers need to be leather. Cloth is too slippery! They should fit
like a glove with little to no growing room.
Youth Theatre Players
WHERE IN THE WORLD DID THE VAN GOGH GO?!
July 6 August 1st M, T, Th 6:45-8:45p
Ages 9-12 Cost: $95
Instructors: Sue Frost and Val Kavanaugh
Where did the famous Van Gogh painting go? Sunflowers is the only famous
painting of Small Lake Museum and its been stolen! Will four not-so-clever
detectives be able to recover it and find the thieves? The clues lead them
to castles and wild African plains, to volcanoes and desert towers! If they
do find the painting, will it be in time to save the museum from becoming a
parking lot? What will happen to the two young painters who want so badly to
show their art? Will the news media help or hurt the museums chances of
survival? And the poor curator, where will she go if the painting isnt
found? The play, Where in the World did the Van Gogh Go?! is full of
questions, zany characters, entertaining situations, and surprising answers.

Filmmaking: From Script to Screen
July 20-July 31
M-F 9:30a-12:30p
Ages 13-18
Instructors: Jim Powers and Steve Powers
$145 for 2-week class
This advanced STS immerses student filmmakers in a professional film set
atmosphere used by todays industry leading career storytellers. This is the
next level experience in acting, screenwriting, directing, full scale
production including lighting, sound design and advanced editing. Whether
you know a little or a lot about film, you are welcome to be a part of this
project. Students will receive a copy of the film.
