*Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn't
everything.*

Winner of the TONY and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, *The 25th
Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee* has charmed audiences across the country
with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced wildly funny and
touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by
William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience.

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship
of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories
from their home life, the tweens spell their way through a series of
[potentially made-up] words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing,
pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling
mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a
juice box.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will be double cast

If cast there is a $250 fee

*AUDITION INFORMATION*

Seeking teens 13-18 years old in the fall of 2015. Bring 16 bars of
Broadway standard song (no CD’s or a cappella singing allowed), and a
one-minute monologue required for auditions, picture & resume.* There will
be a dance audition at 7:30pm for all who auditioned.*

*REHEARSAL SCHEDULE *(we will work around vacations)

July 8, 15, 29, August 5, 12, 19   5-8pm

September 8, 10,15,18, 22, 24, 29, October 1, 6, 8,13,15, 5-8pm

September 12, 26, Oct 3,10,17,10-2pm
