FilmMaker | JOB DESCRIPTION
AUGUST 3-7 and 10-14
9am to 12:30pm
Young Filmmakers program serves to motivated young teens between the ages of 10-14 in the capital region. This program has an understanding of the power of stories told by youth. Going from script to screen and everything in between: writing, planning, assembling cast and crew, location scouting, camera and lights. The program is a hands-on program where students learn how to make the vision in your head a story for all to experience. This two-week intensive is sure to open the floodgates of expression as you learn to navigate the vast medium of film..
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•     Reports to Education Program Manager.
•     Supervises all film intern staff.
•     Mentor youth filmmakers in the development, production and distribution of short, high quality digital film projects.
•     Works with students and staff in technical and creative aspects of production and post-production.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
•     BA or similar in related field
•     At least one year teaching experience (preferably with teens).
•     Proficiency in all stages of production using applicable technologies; including digital media production equipment; filmmaking; Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro; After Effects, Pro Tools and Motion Graphics a plus.
•     Professional knowledge and demonstrated commitment towards youth development.
•     Experience working with diverse communities, able to fit into and continue to create a supportive, democratic organizational culture (team-building, conflict management, humor, flexibility, energy and vision).
•     Excellent leadership, group facilitation, written & oral communication, and organizational skills.
