[Capdist-auditions] Submission for Capital District Auditions

Hello,

I am writing at the suggestion of Katherine Stephens to submit a need for 2 or 3 folks who might be interested in role playing in a workshop entitled "Beyond the Networking Moment" that is being held at The Arts Center on Monday, November 9th and sponosred by The Community Loan Fund. 

This is meant to be fun and can give someone an opportunity to stretch their improvisational skills switching on and off between roles such as a music presenter, gallery owner, graphic designer, gift shop owner who features work of regional artists, book publisher, grant fund administrator, and who knows what else. The idea is that the folks who have signed up for the workshop enter into a reception environment (there will be food & beverage) and forced to mingle to do their elevator pitch, share business cards, etc.

The workshop will provide the deconstruction of the "Networking Moments" of the reception to talk about networking and delve into an exploration of the follow-up phone calls, writing of e-mails or in-person meetings through participants interacting with the "actors."Who's Line is it Anyway?" style  ... sort of.... Fun to breakdown the barriers and fears we have of networking, yet allowing a forum to seriously talk about those barriers and fears and how to follow-up with determination and success.
