LightsUp Productions will hold video audition for actors/actresses ages 15to 20 are due to lightsup_productions at yahoo.comby 5:00pm on Saturday, November 28. Applicants should submit a vocalaudition (16 measures of any Broadway song). No ACCAPELLA AUDITIONSwill be permitted. Callbacks, if necessary will be held later thatsame day. Rehearsals will begin in February on Thursdays andSaturday, with performances on May 6-8, 2016. The tuition for thisproduction is $250 per participant. Tuition is due immediately uponacceptance of role, a $25 Script Deposit is due upon casting, thiswill be held as a deposit on your script until it is returned erasedat the end of the rehearsal process. CharacterBreakdown
EddieBirdlace - A Marine private first class. He is well respected and anatural leader amongst his comrades. Initially a hothead; a cockysmooth talker. He eventually sheds his brash exterior when he fallsfor Rose. Male, Range: A2 - A4 
RoseFenny - A diner waitress who dreams of life as a musician. She is anaturally shy girl, naive of the world around her. Becomes smittenwith Birdlace and discovers a lot about her self-respect andconfidence along the way. Female, Range: G3 - E5 
Bernstein- A Marine private first class and Birdlace's good friend. A bitnerdy and very inexperienced with the opposite sex. Male, Range: B2 -B4 
Boland- A Marine private first class and Birdlace's closest friend. A poorSouthern cad, he is the most vocal supporter of the dogfight andfairly crude in his behavior and language. Male, Range: B2 - B4 
Marcy- Boland's date for the dogfight. She is a nearly toothless andhomely prostitute. Crass and brash, but sneaky and cunning. Female,Range: F#3 - Eb5
