Town Players of Pittsfield announces auditions for a staged reading of "Flowers for Algernon" , a one-act play by David Rogers, based on the book by Daniel Keyes. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, August 31 at 7pm at the Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Avenue in Pittsfield. Sides from the play will be provided. 


"Flowers for Algernon" is an American classic adapted into a short play that has been read in high school classrooms throughout the country.  A heartfelt story that touches upon miracles, hope, and growth.  Needed for the cast are men and women ranging in age from  20 to 60 years old.


This staged reading is being directed by Thomas Suski and will be presented at the Whitney on Sunday, September 25 at 2pm along with a reading of "Phaedra" written and read by Richard Matturro.
