NorthEast Theatre Ensemble presents *The Women*, by Clare Boothe Luce,
Directed by Suzanna Bornn

Written in 1936, *The Women* is a classic icon of the era- fashionable,
funny and dark. When Mary Haines finds out that her husband is keeping a
mistress, the younger more beautiful Crystal, she begins to learn what it's
like to stand up for herself.  In a climate clouded by the rules, gossip,
and artifice of Manhattan's high society, Mary and her companions search
for love, friendship, and truth. Through fast-paced dialogue, cutting
humor, and timeless wisdom the play exposes the simultaneously ugly and
beautiful condition of womanhood.

Seeking actresses 20's to 40's- Women of all ethnicities encouraged to
apply.

Auditions to be held at the Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Ave Albany:
Sunday December 18th- 3-5pm

Rehearsals begin February, 2017
Production dates: March 17- April 2
