Are you over your cold? Have you been to the other five thousand auditions recently held in the area? Why should you do this show?
Because it has comedy, drama, sex, tropical beaches, beautiful, classic music, multi-faceted and diverse characters, parts for singers, parts for non-singers, a fabulous production team, a warm and welcoming theater, appreciative audiences and a true, community theater experience. But that’s not all – the story has great relevancy for our time, with themes of romance, patriotism and bigotry. We are within 30 min. of most of the greater Capital Region.
Please prepare a song from the show, for singing parts, if possible. Please bring a photo (any kind of head shot – need not be fancy). There will be some basic dancing in the show, but previous dance experience is not required, and no dancing is required at the audition. Readings will be from the script, and no monologues are necessary.
There are some actors under serious consideration for some of the roles below. We can’t have a WWII Navy without men, though! Some of the roles have lines and singing, and some have more lines and no singing.

(We have several Nellie contenders, and have cast Bloody Mary, the two children and some nurses. Decisions on the female leads are somewhat dependent on matching with male leads.)
The theater is on Rte.43 in Averill Park, fifteen minutes from the Defreestville exit of I-90, 30 min. from Crossgates Mall area, 30 min. from Delmar area, 20 min. from Albany, 35 min. from Schenectady, 15 min. from Troy or East Greenbush. Very easy to get to!
