Home Made Theater Holds Open Auditions for CALENDAR GIRLS

 

Home Made Theater announces open auditions for their April/May 2016
production of Tim Firth's comedy Calendar Girls, directed by Dianne O'Neill
Filer. Auditions will be held on Sunday, February 21st from 6:00-8:00pm and
Monday, February 22nd from 6:30-8:00pm at the Spa Little Theater in Saratoga
Spa State Park. The cast consists of 9 women and 4 men.

Based on a true story, Calendar Girls is an endearingly funny, touching,
delicious play that tells the tale of Annie and Chris. The best friends
resolve to raise money for their local hospital by persuading four fellow
members "of a certain age" to "bare all" and pose nude with them for an
"alternative" calendar. The news of the women's charitable venture spreads
like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village of
Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales. The calendar is a success, but Chris and
Annie's friendship is put to the test under the strain of their new-found
fame. The women are warm and funny, and their men are equally appealing.
There are also very important cameo roles.

Actors should bring a current photo & resume. Photos cannot be returned.
Auditions will be from the script.

Production dates are weekends, April 15th - May 1st, 2016. Rehearsals begin
in early March. No appointments are necessary for the audition. For a
