> Upstage is proud to announce auditions for our next junior production, ALICE IN WONDERLAND, JR.  on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 10am to 1pm.  Auditions will take place at Columbia Elite Allstars, 300 Fairview Ave. Hudson, NY (across from Mavis Tire)  This will be an 18 and under production.  
> Travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures.  Featuring updated songs from Disney’s thrilling animated motion picture, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR. is a fast-paced take on the classic tale.  The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit.  Her adventures become increasingly more strange as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game!  Roles are plentiful, including three Cheshire Cats and dozens of other wonderfully wacky characters, providing plentiful opportunities to showcase students of all different musical skill levels. A chorus of kids playing in the park, rock lobsters, talking fish, royal cards-men, un-birthday partiers, as well as a group of mean-girl flowers, allows for a highly expandable cast size.

> Show dates May 13-15 at Hudson High School. 
>  Please prepare 16 bars of audition song listed below. We will supply backing music.  There will be a short dance audition, and readings from the script.

> CAST of CHARACTERS:
> Alice, Small Alice and Tall Alice- Very Good Advice
> The Cheshire Cat- Non Singing role, will read from script
> The White Rabbit- I’m Late
> Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum-How D’ye Do and Shake Hands
> The FLOWERS (Rose, Petunia, Lily, Violet and Daisey)- The Golden Afternoon
> 
> Mathilda - non singing role, will read from script
> Caterpillar- Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah
> The Mad Hatter- The unBirthday Song pt. 1
> The March Hare- The unBirthday Song pt. 1
> The Queen of Hearts- Painting the Roses Red
> The Kind of Hearts- The unBirthday Song( Reprise)
> The DoorKnob- Dogsonland
> DoDo Bird- Ocean of Tears
> Ensemble (many role opportunities: children playing, Rock Lobsters, Fish, Cardsmen, Party goers. Most of ensemble cast will fill multiple roles!)- Dogsonland

> Call Backs if needed will be held Wednesday February 3rd at 6:30pm. If you have a conflict with audition times please contact us. 
> All Cast announcements will be by FRIDAY FEBRUARY 5th.
> Cast Meeting and read through tentatively scheduled for February 7th morning.  More info will be given when cast.  If cast in the show, all actors will be expected to currently hold an active membership to Upstage Productions, inc.  If you are not currently a member, a membership form would need to be completed and paid for at the first rehearsal.
