On Tuesday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 22,  Town Players of Pittsfield is holding auditions for “Jake Revolver, Freelance Secret Agent” by Matthew Konkel. Auditions begin at 5:30pm at  the Whitney Center for the Arts, 42 Wendell Avenue in Pittsfield. The play is being directed by Jerry Greene.


“Jake Revolver, Freelance Secret Agent” tells the timeless 1940’s story of a man on a mission. A parody of the radio-noir genre, audiences will “ooh” and “ahh” at the rapid-fire puns, hijinks, antics, shenanigans, and really strange sound effects. Will Jake be able to unmask the mysterious criminal who has murdered his Narrator, while struggling to deal with romance, unrelieved guilt, commercial breaks, and a confusing script? Probably not if you don’t audition!
 
The director is seeking four women and four men who enjoy snappy dialogue and unbelievably cheesy humor.


This staged reading will be performed on Sunday, July 31 at 2pm.
