[Capdist-auditions] Cast replacement needed, male 50’s or 60’s

The
Delta Xi cast of Alpha Psi Omega will be performing The Uninvited at the RPI Playhouse in September and is in need of
a male actor to fill a vacancy that just opened up in the cast.

 

The
play will be performed September 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17 in Troy. Most rehearsals
will be held on the RPI campus. As of this moment, we are at the beginning
stages of preparing, and the new cast member will not be far behind the rest of
the cast. With the read-through completed, there will not be another rehearsal
until late July. 

 

The open part is that of Commander Brooke. It is a medium-sized part. The actor playing
it should be prepared to use a Cornish/Devonshire accent and materials
will be provided to help learn that accent. Actors are only required to attend
rehearsals on the dates when their scenes are scheduled to be worked on, and those actors
with medium sized parts will have a light schedule until mid-August. 

 

The
play is a ghost story and will be performed as a straight horror show. The play
was written by Tim Kelly, adapted from the novel by Dorothy Macardle. 

 

While
this play is performed at the RPI campus, actors do not need to be current or former
students to participate. Although this is a chance to work with some talented students involved in the show and perform at a beautiful, historic campus.
