Consortium Actors is delighted to announce auditions for the Capital Region’s premiere of The School of Rock!

Open Call for actors/musicians aged 9-18 yrs old!

 

Performances at Siena College Beaudoin Theater on

Aug12-13th/Aug 19th-20th at 8pm and August 14th/21st at 3pm

 

Auditions:  School of Rock:  Siena College Foy 107

Sign-in will start 15 min prior to Audition start time.

 

Sat  4/2   9am-12pm Auditions- College/High School- Actors & Musicians

                   1pm-6pm Auditions- Elementary/Middle School- Actors & Musicians

Sun 4/3    1-5pm      Callbacks- Teachers/Parents, School of Rock Band

                   6-10pm    Callbacks for Dewey, No Vacancy

                   7pm-10pm Auditions for Pit Musicians

 

What to Prepare:

•   ACTORS: Prepare 32-bars of a song of your choice that shows range. Bring sheet music in the correct key and headshot/resume. Be prepared to learn a short dance combination

•   MUSICIANS: In addition to the five onstage actor-musicians in the School of Rock band, we are seeking advanced musicians 14-18 years old to play in the pit (electric guitar, drums, bass, keyboard) and in the No Vacancy Band (Drums, Bass, lead guitar). Prepare a one-minute piece that shows skill level- pop/rock if possible.

•    

PLEASE NOTE: Those auditioning for the roles of Zach(Guitar), Katie(Bass), Lawrence(Keyboard), Freddy(Drums) or adult roles of Dewey(Guitar), No Vacancy(Guitar,Bass) should be prepared for both the actor and musician audition portions. It is recommended to arrive at the beginning of the audition slot to guarantee completion of both auditions. Drumset/Keyboard will be provided. Please bring guitars/bass or cello(Katie) if you play.

 

Rehl Schedule:

Anticipated Rehls:

         Kids’ Jumpstart week - 4/25-4/29 M/W/F 3pm-6pm

5/1-7/31 : Sundays 2-5pm full cast, Fri 5-8pm 5-8PM, select scenes

6/27-7/31:  m/w/f 5-8 Dewey and kids

                   t/thurs 6-10pm Adult roles/No Vacancy

 

Planned Rehls: August 1-6 and August 8-12 9-6pm, August 17th 3-6pm,

                             Siena College Beaudoin Theater

 

*Rock Lessons with area professionals as required for Pit Musicians/School of Rock Band/No Vacancy in accordance with actors’ schedules

**Rehl for Pit Musicans will be a separate rehl schedule based upon availability. 

 

Tuition for Middle/High School students : $300. All Actors expected to secure 3 advertisers for the program- or may opt out for additional $100 fee.
