will be talking about their experiences on Broadway and doing a mock Dance
and Singing Audition on the Wednesday of this camp!


In the beginning of this one week camp you will be asked to audition for
Oklahoma and Next to Normal as a mock audition. You will need to have 2
appropriate songs (one per each show) and a 1 minute monologue prepared.
All participants will take part in a mock audition. This course is will
involve a lot of group discussion and feedback.

The second half of the week will focus on Callbacks. You will be assigned
scenes, songs and/or monologues. You may also have to cold read as well. We
will teach you techniques to help you get through this process with ease
and confidence.

Whether you are preparing for your next audition or just want to develop
and practice good audition habits, our Audition Prep Camp will get you
ready to put your best face forward!
Students in this camp will also receive a ticket for one of the SPAC
Broadway Nights!

Eric Hatch
Guest Artist

Eric Hatch recently relocated to Saratoga from New York City, where he
worked as an AEA actor, singer, and dancer.  He originated the role of “Big
Deal” [image: Eric Hatch]in the 2009 Broadway revival of *West Side Story*,
directed by Arthur Laurents (Original Cast Recording).  Other stage credits
include: *Mary Poppins *(Broadway and First National Tour), *Legally
Blonde *(Broadway), *The Pirate Queen *(Broadway, original cast recording),
as well as various regional productions at North Shore Music Theatre,
Kansas City Starlight, Pittsburgh CLO, and the Walnut Street Theatre.
Television appearances include: the *2009 TONY Awards*, *Dancing with the
Stars*, *The View*, and the *Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade*.  Eric as a BA
in Dance Performance from Point Park University, and currently enjoys
teaching and choreographing at area schools and youth organizations, most
recently *High School Musical *at the Ballston Spa Middle School’s
Launching Pad.




Dennis Moench
Director of Youth Education at SPAC/ Guest Artist

Dennis Moench is currently the Director of Youth Education at the Saratoga
Performing Arts Center.  He recently moved to Saratoga from New York City,
where he was an AEA Actor, most recently seen in the original cast of the
2014 Broadway revival of *Les Misérables*.  Other stage credits include
“Robertson Ay” in *Mary Poppins* (Broadway and First National Tour),
“Dennis” in *All Shook Up *(First National Tour, original cast), “Abraham”
in *Altar Boyz *(Off-Broadway), “Schlomo” in *Fame on 42nd Street*
(Off-Broadway,
original cast recording), as well as regional productions at North Shore
Music Theatre, Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Fulton Opera House, and
Downtown Cabaret Theatre.   His performances in New York and across North
America received critical acclaim from numerous publications, such as *The
New York Times*,* The Boston Globe*, the* Chicago Tribune*, and
*Variety *magazine.
Television appearances include: the* 2014 TONY Awards*, *Good Morning
America*, *The Chew*, *CBS’s The Early Show*, and the *CBS Thanksgiving Day
Parade*.  Dennis has a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts,
where he studied with the CAP21 studio and the Royal Academy of Dramatic
Art in London.
