Experience the thrill of playing in the orchestra of a full-scale Broadway style musical performed on the Mainstage of Proctors as part of the School of the Performing Arts at Proctors. In the Broadway Camp Orchestra Intensive, students are the stars on stage and behind-the-scenes, collaborating with over 30 students in this full-scale production.  In partnership with the American Federation of Musicians Schenectady-Amsterdam Musical Union, students will study with and be mentored by professional musicians, the production’s Musical Director and Director, as they rehearse and perform the Broadway score for the musical ALL SHOOK UP.

To apply: Please complete this application form<http://www.proctors.org/broadway-camp-2016-application>. To complete this form, please have ready to submit two recorded performances of contrasting styles, each no more than two-minutes in length. On the recording, please state your name, the instrument you’re playing and the selection you are submitting. Trumpet students should highlight your range capabilities.  Reed students, who double, should submit one recording per instrument played. Guitar and bass students should submit acoustic and electric examples, if appropriate. All applicants should have the ability  to read music. Submission deadline is June 3, 2016.
Please note: ALL SHOOK UP contains theatrical arrangements of songs made famous by Elvis Presley and the score is a mixture of Broadway and Rock & Roll. All music styles will be accepted.

Program dates:
Rehearsals:
Sunday, July 31 from 1 – 6pm orchestra rehearsal
Monday – Wednesday, August 1, 2 & 3 from  2 – 5:30pm
                         (2 - 3pm sectional mentoring, 3:30 – 5:30pm orchestra rehearsal)
Dress Rehearsals: Thursday – Friday, August 4 – 5 from 11:30am – 3:30pm
Performances:  Friday, August 5, 7pm and  Saturday, August 6 , 2 & 7pm (Call time, 30 minutes prior to performance)

KEYBOARD 2
REED 1 (Flute, Alto Sax)
REED 2 (Clarinet, Tenor Sax)
REED 3 (Bass Clarinet, Baritone Sax)
TRUMPET 1 (Trumpet, Flugel)
TRUMPET 2 (Trumpet, Flugel)
TROMBONE
GUITAR 1 (Electric, Telecaster)
GUITAR 2  (Acoustic, Electric)
BASS  (Acoustic, Electric)
DRUMS
Age range: 14 – 19
Skill level: Advanced skill level with performance experience
Tuition: $300.   Payment plans & scholarships are available for those who qualify.



ALL SHOOK UP will be performed on the Mainstage at Proctors with full costumes, sets, lights, sound and orchestra.
STUDENTS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL REHEARSALS / SESSIONS AND PERFORMANCE DATES.
