parents are doctors; early in her youth, Sarah rejected their ideals of
success and sought to pursue her love of art; she aspired to be a
successful painter; despite their disappointment in Sarah’s aspirations,
her parents sent her to an expensive art school; while Sarah does have a
natural talent for painting, she failed to take advantage of the
opportunity to hone her craft; she partied her way through school and was
much more focused on her relationship with Chris, who she met her sophomore
year; upon graduating school, Sarah was hit with a hard reality and was
unable to support herself via her dream career; she took a front desk job
at a local art gallery; Sarah finds the job incredibly unfulfilling and
demeaning; she reluctantly accepts a monthly check from her parents to
supplement her poor income; is deep in the valley of her slump stage as
Chris enters his renaissance period; Chris is her only source of optimism
and motivation; when Chris is killed, Sarah goes off the deep end and
enters a several month period of depression and self-destruction, ignoring
her friends and family; she turns to the necromancer in an act of

true age is unknown to everyone but him; when Sarah encounters him, he is
running a struggling psychic medium shop; Vincent grew up practicing and
designing the science behind the craft of necromancy; his stem-cell based
"serum" allows him to rejuvenate and rebuild dead human tissue; early in
his practices, Vincent learned that the reanimated deceased become envious
of the living and subsequently violent; after witnessing the deaths of
several loved ones as a consequence of his craft, Vincent vows to bury the
knowledge of necromancy and spend his remaining days posing as a spiritual
medium; tipped off by the descendant of Vincent's old client, Sarah seeks
him out and makes him an offer he can't refuse; Vincent is incredibly
articulate and looks as if he is from another time period; he has become
bitter and pessimistic in his later days. He masks his abandoned love for
human life and scientific curiosity behind tired eyes.

raped and murdered; he and his wife separated shortly after; because the

things did not end well.
