Alice in Wonderland

Children have always been fascinated by Alice’s strange and exciting
adventures in Wonderland.  Now they can actually join Alice in her
travels.  In this remarkable adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic,
Willard Simms has created a Wonderland especially made for children.  The
audience becomes a part of the forest through which Alice travels; they
join her at the Mad Hatter’s tea party, and even take part in that
memorable croquet game with the Queen of Hearts.

*Not-So-Grimm Tales*

Here’s a hilarious tongue-in-cheek retelling of classic Grimm fairy tales
that feels fresh and contemporary!  A working mother notices her daughter
has picked up some not-so-great lessons from the fairy tales she’s been
reading, so she sits her down and tells her new, more modern and empowering
versions of some of the classics.  In Mom’s new and improved variations,
Little Red is an animal rights activist and vegetarian who saves the wolf
from the Woodsman; Snow White unionizes the dwarves and overthrows her
beauty pageant loving stepmother along with her assistant, Mir’ah; and
Cinderella shares her love of angst-filled poetry with Charming and they
run off together to live the lives of Bohemian artists.

*AUDITION EXPECTATIONS:*

Auditions for performers of any age are scheduled for Saturday, June 24
beginning at 10:00am at Our Saviors Lutheran Church (63 Mountain View
Avenue, Albany, NY). Applicants should come prepared to sing any song and
read from the show. An accompanist and CD player will be available.



*Rehearsal Period:*

Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm beginning August 7 and ending August
18



*Performances:*

August 18 at 4:00pm & 7:00pm



If cast in the production, you are required to accept or decline your role
within 24 hours of the offer or the role will be recast.



*Tuition Payment:*

Programming fee of $200.00. This amount is used to help cover the
licensing, Broadway Master Class, costumes, rehearsal/performance space
rental, and other production costs.
