THE LAKE THEATRE in Lake George will be holding local Equity and Non-Equity
auditions for its 2017 season on Saturday and Sunday, March 11 and 12 at
the Holiday Inn Resort in Lake George from 12-6PM. There will be no meal
break. Auditions will be by appointment. Please bring a headshot/resume
to the audition and, if possible, forward a headshot/resume to Producer,
Terry Rabine at terryrabine at gmail.com. For questions or to make an
audition appointment, please call 518 306-4404.

The Lake Theatre operates under a Dinner Theatre contract with Actors
Equity Association. Actor salary: Minimum $590/wk. Actors must be
available for daytime rehearsals and matinee performances (Tues, Wed,
Thurs). All positions are paid. Actors will audition from sides available
at the audition. No memorization required.

The season includes Neil Simon’s LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS (contract runs
from 7/6 thru 9/2) and THE GREAT KOOSHOG LAKE HOLLIS McCAUL
E
Y FISHING DERBY by Norm Foster (contract runs 8/31 thru 10/21),.

LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS (directed by Terry Rabine): Middle-aged, married
Barney Cashman wants to join the 1970’s sexual revolution before it’s too
late so he arranges three seductions, all with hilarious, yet charming
consequences for both Barney and the women he clumsily attempts to seduce.

Seeking:

ELAINE: Late 30’s-early 40’s; attractive; has a cynical streak, no
nonsense; high-strung; dying for a cigarette.

BOBBI MICHELE: Early to mid 30’s; attractive; bubbly personality; never
stops talking; high energy.

JEANETTE:  Late 30’s-early 40’s; Barney’s best friend’s wife; depressed;
has given up on life and humanity.

The role of Barney has been cast but possible replacements will be
auditioned.

THE GREAT KOOSHOG LAKE HOLLIS McCAULY FISHING DERBY (directed by Jarel
Davidow): Big-city businessman James Bell gets stuck in the sleepy
rural town of Kooshog Lake during their annual fishing derby. He is wound
a bit too tight and discovers that he has much to learn from the
good-hearted, wise and loveable folks of this enchanting burg.

SIENNA: 60s. Very dry sense of humor. Direct, no-nonsense and almost
domineering but ultimately good-hearted. Think Frances Sternhagen in
"Misery".

JAMES: Late 20s. A pompous city-slicker whose car broke down in this small
town. He is not sure if he should take the folks here seriously. Think
Michael J Fox in "Doc Hollywood".

MELANIE: Late 20s. Sweet, forthright, open and practical. Has an inner
strength. She knows what she wants but not quite certain how to get it.
Develops a crush on James but covers it up with witty banter.

RHONDA: Mid-late 30s. Larger than life personality and very comfortable
in her own skin. Playfully aggressive in her pursuit of men (particularly
James). A bit of a tomboy who exudes confidence.
KIRK: 60s. Gentle, funny and kind. Always in on the joke even if he
doesn't appear to be.

ESPECIALLY SEEKING MALE AND FEMALE ACTORS IN THEIR LATE 20'S TO EARLY 30'S.
