Curtain Call Theatre (Latham, NY) will be holding auditions for their
upcoming production of


*“LOST IN YONKERS”*

   - Curtain Call Theatre - 210 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12110


*Rehearsals:*

   - Begin early-August 2017
   - Sunday – Wednesday evenings


*Performances:*

   - September 8 – October 7, 2017
   - Thursday at 7:30 PM, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM, & Sunday at 3:00
   PM
   - One Saturday matinee at 3:00 PM


*Show Description:*


By America's great comic playwright, this memory play is set in Yonkers in
1942. Bella is thirty-five years old, mentally challenged, and living at
home with her mother, stern Grandma Kurnitz. As the play opens,
ne'er-do-well son Eddie deposits his two young sons on the old lady's
doorstep. He is financially strapped and taking to the road as a salesman.
The boys are left to contend with Grandma, with Bella and her secret
romance, and with Louie, her brother, a small-time hoodlum in a strange new
world called Yonkers.


*Available Roles:*



   - Jay Kurnitz: around 13-16 years old
   - Arty Kurnitz: around 11-14 years old
   - Eddie Kurnitz: (Jay and Arty’s father) mid- 30’s to mid-40’s years old
   - Bella Kurnitz: (Eddie’s younger sister) 30’s to 40ish
   - Grandma Kurnitz: (Eddie, Louie, Gert and Bella’s mother – Jay and
   Arty’s grandmother) Old enough to have children in their mid to late 40’s
   so around 70 years old.
   - Louie Kurnitz: mid 30’s to mid-40’s
   - Gert Kurnitz: : mid 30’s to mid-40’s
