*OPEN AUDITIONS FOR SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL*

Warrior Productions is excited to announce open auditions for new short
plays to be performed at the Third Annual Short Play Festival at The CENTER
for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck Sept. 15-17, 2017.  Sides will be provided
at auditions.  Community Theatre, non-union.

*AUDITION DATES:*

*Friday, May 19 from 6-8pm

*Saturday, May 20 from 2-4pm

Auditions will be held in the Frazer Room at the Starr Library, 68 West
Market Street in Rhinebeck.

*THE REMEMBRANCE by Cheryl Veach Delvecchio*

*A terrible accident causes each family member to reflect on emotional
barriers, guilt and forgiveness.*

STEVEN:  Male, approximately 45,  with a passive personality, vibrant
mannerisms; a dreamer who feels overwhelmed.

CORRINE:  Wife to Steven, 45, distant, reserved, cool personality;
critical, unhappy.

MISSY: Daughter, 16-20, outgoing, vibrant and wise.

DOCTOR:  Any age, male or female; very compassionate.

*BOOM BOX ALLEY by Elaine Fernandez*

*A group of aging professionals give up on the impossible job market and
decide to make a go of it living their dream.  They begin their new lives
at Boom Box Alley, an old underwear factory converted into affordable
housing units for artists.*

JOHANNA:  A self-absorbed poet in her 50s waiting to be discovered.

BUTCH:  A gay playwright in his 50s. “Floor Captain” of the 3rd Floor.
Easily annoyed in a warm-and-fuzzy kind of way.

DENNIS:  50s.  Butch's boyfriend.  Sarcastic and paranoid gossip addicted
to social media and his bluetooth.

MALERIE:  A people-pleasing soap opera writer in her 40s.

SCARLETT:  A dancer in her mid-30s who barely ekes out a living teaching
anti-bullying dance classes at local schools.

SAM:  A handsome musician in his mid 40s who has no interest in the other
artists in the building.

*AN AMERICAN NOEL by Marianna Boncek*

*With the help of his on-again off-again angel, Gabriel, an old bum looking
for some returnables and a warm place to sleep finds an abandoned baby
instead. *

CHARLIE:  50-something bum.

GABRIEL:  Male angel, any age, under 50.

WAITRESS:  Woman, any age.

SHELTER WORKER:  non-specific.

HOMELESS PEOPLE:  non specific.

PRIEST:  Male, any age.

TWO POLICE OFFICERS:  Non-specific.

JULIA:  Charlie’s daughter.  Woman in her mid-20s.

EMANUELA'S MOTHER:  Woman in her 20s or 30s.

EMANUELA'S FATHER:  Man in his 20’s or 30s.

EMANUELA:  Very young child, somewhere between 3 and 5.
