Don’t forget - auditions this coming Tuesday & Wednesday!


The Ghent Playhouse is holding auditions for its winter production of Joe
DiPietro’s dramedy, Clever Little Lies, to be directed by Cathy
Lee-Visscher.








*AUDITIONS*:             Tuesday, November 7 and Wednesday, November 8,
2017


                                    Sign-in at 7:00 p.m. – Auditions will
begin at 7:15 p.m.





*LOCATION*:               The Ghent Playhouse


                                    6 Town Hall Place (adjacent to the
Ghent Firehouse off Route 66)


                                    Ghent, NY





*PERFORMANCES*:  January 19 – February 4, 2018


                                Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m.


                                 Sunday Matinees at 2:00 p.m.





*REHEARSALS*:       Rehearsals will begin after Thanksgiving and will be
based on the


                                    availability of those chosen for the
production.  Those interested in


                                    auditioning are asked to be as specific
as possible in listing any


                                and all conflicts.





*THE STORY*:            When Alice notices her husband on edge, after he
returns home


                                    from playing tennis with their son, she
becomes suspicious, then


                                 determined to get to the bottom of things.
  When their son and


daughter-in-law arrive for drinks and dessert, with their new baby


in tow, chaos ensues as Alice digs for the truth, resulting in even more
honesty than anyone expected.  A story of long-term love and marriage… for
better… and for worse.





*THE CHARACTERS*:





ALICE (mid 50’s – early 60’s) – A housewife-turned bookseller, married to
Bill, Sr.





BILL, SR. (mid 50’s – early 60’s) – A lawyer; keeps in shape; is very close
to his son





BILLY (mid-late 30’s) – Also a lawyer; having an extra-marital affair with
his 23 year-old personal trainer.





JANE (mid-late 30’s) – Billy’s wife; an editor on maternity leave with her
first child








*CASTING INFO*:      if you are younger or older than the ages listed for
the characters,


                                    but feel you can portray that age,
please do not hesitate to audition.





Those auditioning will be asked to read specific scenes from the script.
