[Capdist-auditions] Casting: African American woman any age, singing ability preferred

Urgent Casting for October 12,13,14 performances of *Votes for Women* at
Arts Letters & Numbers for an *African-American woman, any age, singing
ability preferred. *



*Votes *is an immersive piece celebrating the centennial of women's right
to vote in New York. The show consists of 6 separate scenes of about 5-10
minutes each, each showing a different aspect of the women's suffrage
movement. One of these scenes features the concerns of black women in
joining the fight for suffrage.



The role that must be filled in this scene embodies the intersectionality
of race and gender in regards to civil rights. As mentioned before, the
scene itself is rather short.
