Cinetrope Entertainment is casting the Short Film ROOSTER AND THE QUEEN by
Aaron Weisblatt.

Seeking experienced actors for short film to be shot in Woodstock and
Kingston New York.

to SELF TAPE an audition.
Seeking SAG and non SAG actors. All roles are paid.

Synopsis: When Rooster's seductive ex-wife, the Queen, makes a play to get
him back, he can see a future that reminds him of their past.

 

Shoot Dates: TBD - Projected for  November 3,4.5 OR November 18,19,20
Shoot Locations: In and around Woodstock and Kingston NY.

Seeking the following Roles:


Rooster: Male, 40s - 50s, A man's man, rugged, attractive
(needed all 3 days of shooting)

The Queen: Female 40s - 50s, Seductive, a wild-card, attractive
(needed for 2 days of shooting)

Mary: Female 40s - 50s - Smart, resourceful, tough
(needed for 1 day of shooting)

Joe: Male 40's - 50s - working man, strong 
(needed for 1 day of shooting)

Waitress: Female 20s - 30s - gum smacking, wiseass, should have "a look"
such as betty page bangs, tattoos etc.
(needed for 1 day of shooting)

(needed for 1 day of shooting)

 

AARON WEISBLATT, Writer & Director Aaron's first documentary, SAM, was
nominated for an Academy Award. It aired on The National Geographic Explorer
Series and the UK's Channel Four. He co-produced the critically acclaimed
BBC documentary FEAST OF DEATH, about the best-selling author, James Ellroy
and later produced and directed an award-winning feature documentary,
BETWEEN TWO WORLDS,which won numerous awards on the film festival circuit.
In recent years Aaron was a picture editor on The History Channel's 10-part
award-winning series, WWII IN HD and a cameraman on the first season of
A&E's TATTOO HIGHWAY and on an episode of INTERVENTION. Aaron has developed
non-scripted reality/docu-soaps on local residents including Steve Heller
(HELLER ON WHEELS) and the late Jessie Reimer (WOODSTOCK LOGGERS.)
Additionally, Aaron videotaped some of the last historic concerts at Levon
Helm's MIDNIGHT RAMBLE with fellow producers Trevor Hotz and Ali Grapes. He
has also worked on the documentaries Evocateur, Disturbing the Universe and
Earth Days. Aaron began his career in New York City working as a P.A. on
commercials, television series and industrials while attending New York
University. Upon graduating, he became an apprentice picture editor and
later became an assistant picture editor and a sound editor after moving to
Los Angeles where he worked on many features and television shows. He has
had the opportunity to work with many talented producers, directors and
actors such as Dustin Hoffman, Volker Schlondorff, Sam Rockwell, Robbie
Benson, The Hughes Brothers, Joel Schumacher, Peter MacGregor-Scott, and
documentary filmmakers Errol Morris, Nick Broomfield, Vikram Jayanti and
Joan Churchill.

 

CHRISTA S. TRINLER , Producer & Actor Christa continuously roams back and
forth between performing and producing. As a producer she has over 20 years'
experience in the corporate communications and theatrical production arena,
wearing many hats along the way: Producer, Tour Manager, Production
Coordinator, Video Producer, Back Stage Manager, Graphics & Speech
Coordinator, Talent Wrangler. She has even provided craft services..and
costumed a show when needed. She has worked with clients ranging from global
Fortune 500 companies like Xerox, GE International, Philipps Health Care to
not-for-profits like YMCA, Conservation International to the union
organization AFL-CIO. Christa is the recipient of a Bronze Telly Award as
the associate producer, voice over and on camera talent for a Xerox
marketing video that was used worldwide. Christa is a professionally trained
actor, working in Chicago and New York. She is an ensemble member of Voice
Theatre, a professional theatre company based in the historic Byrdcliffe
Theater in Woodstock, NY. Where she has recently performed principal roles
in The Skin of Our Teeth, Our Countries Good, Hay Fever and Season's
Greetings.
