SHOW DATES: September 21 - 30, 2018

Rehearsals will begin in the last week of July, and there will be a
read-through/meeting in June if schedules permit

Those auditioning should prepare 16-32 bars of music from a Broadway show
(please bring sheet music, an accompanist will be provided). Readings will
be selected from the script. There will be a dance audition as well, so
please dress accordingly.

All ethnicities are encouraged to audition. We are seeking to cast actors
that appropriately represent character ethnicities that are explicitly
referenced in the script. For other roles, including ensemble, we will seek
a multi-ethnic cast, without restricting the ethnicity of any particular
role.

Please contact Producer Matthew Coviello (Mwcoviello at gmail.com) or Director
Peter Caracappa (caracappa at gmail.com) with any questions.

------------------------------

A vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place
where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are
always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of
music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and
pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you
take with you, and which ones you leave behind. IN THE HEIGHTS is the
winner of the 2008 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, Best
Choreography and Best Orchestrations.
