opportunity to have these talented artists to teach our students!*

*Ages 12-18*
*Fee: $55*

*Join Caitlin and Chelsea as they explore ways to analyze and interpret
songs. They will also be introducing helpful practice and rehearsal
techniques. Please bring your music book as you may be asked to perform a
piece.*

After the Workshop please join us at Canción/Canção: An evening of Spanish
and Portuguese Song to watch Caitlin and Chelsea perform! Filene Hall,
Skidmore College from 7:30-9:30pm
Join Caitlin Felsman, mezzo-soprano, and Chelsea Whitaker, pianist, for a
program of art songs celebrating the melodies and rhythms of Latin and
South America. This recital features rarely performed works from Cuba and
Brazil. A suggested donation will be collected at the door: $15/adults,

Caitlin Felsman, mezzo-soprano, has been praised for her “velvety low
register” and “bright, ringing top” [Boston Music Intelligencer]. She is a
dynamic, passionate performer, equally at home on the opera stage and in
intimate recital venues. Caitlin performs frequently with Opera on Tap
Boston <https://www.operaontap.org/boston/>, whose mission is to bringing
classical music to non-traditional performance spaces. Caitlin is based in
the Boston area and studies with soprano Barbara Quintiliani
<https://www.barbaraquintiliani.com/>.

Chelsea Whitaker is a collaborative pianist based in the Boston area,
enjoying a diverse career including art song, opera, musical theatre, and
chamber work in North America and Europe. Her most recent work includes
vocal coaching at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute; a staff
pianist position in the voice department at Boston University; teaching
fellowships at New England Conservatory in the voice and piano departments;
and a New York City debut performance at Merkin Hall in collaboration with
Stephanie Blythe, Alan Louis Smith, and Steven Carroll. Chelsea currently
studies under Cameron Stowe and Jonathan Feldman at New England
Conservatory, where she is completing her DMA degree in Collaborative Piano.
