Due to illness, we have rescheduled tonight’s audition. Auditions will now be held on Monday,Dec 3, and Tues, Dec 4. All other information is below.

> Theater Voices announces auditions for a staged reading of Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker, directed by Jacqueline Donnaruma.

> RESCHEDULED Audition dates: 
> Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, 7-9 p.m.
> Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, 7-9 p.m. 
> 
> Auditions will be held at Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Avenue in Albany. Please arrive at the start and be prepared to stay. Actors will be asked to read sides from the play. 
> 
> Performance dates:
> Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at 8 pm
> Saturday, Feb. 16, at 3 pm and 8 pm
> Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3 pm
> Actors must be available for all performance dates.
> 
> The play:
> In an artsy small town, an unlikely collection of strangers decides to sign up for Marty's "Adult Creative Drama" class. As relationships develop over the course of the summer, the awkward, seemingly silly theater games they play generate real-life drama. The New York Times said: “By the play’s end we seem to see to the very bottom of these souls, and feel how the artificial intimacy of the acting class has shaped their lives in substantial ways.” Playwright Annie Baker won the Pulitzer Prize in 2015.

> The characters:
> Marty: F/50s. Acting instructor; passionate; afraid to face her own problems while trying to help others come to self-realization.
> James: M/50s- 60s. Married to Marty; new to the acting scene.
> Theresa: F/30s- early 40s. Actor; recently moved away from New York; trying to reinvent herself.
> Schultz: M/40s- early 50s. Recently divorced; lonely; eager to connect.
> Lauren: F/late teens. Reluctant participant; aloof; discovering who she is.
> All roles are available.
