[Capdist-auditions] King Lear Auditions to be held by Confetti Stage on February 12th & 13th @ 6:30 PM

 Confetti Stage will hold auditions for King Lear by William Shakespeare
(directed by Linda D. Shirey) February 12th & 13th 2018 at the Masonic
Temple, 67 Corning Place, Albany NY. Sign in time for auditions will be
6:30pm. Actors will be asked to participate in movement and improv
exercises. Actors are not asked to prepare monologues, as sides will be
provided. Comfortable clothes and shoes should be worn, and everyone should
be prepared to stay for the entirety of the audition. All roles are open
and alternative casting will be given consideration. Performance dates will
be:

Friday, April 27th at 7:30 PM
Saturday, April 28th at 7:30 PM
Sunday April 29th at 2 PM
Thursday, May 3 at 7:30 PM
Friday, May 4th at 7:30 PM
Saturday, May 5th at 7:30 PM
Sunday May 6th at 2pm

Roles:

King Lear -  King of Britain and the protagonist of the play
Cordelia - Lear's youngest daughter, disowned by her father for refusing to
flatter him.
Goneril - Lear's ruthless oldest daughter and the wife of the duke of Albany
Regan -  Lear's middle daughter and the wife of the duke of Cornwall
Gloucester -  A nobleman loyal to King Lear whose rank, earl, is below that
of a duke.
Edgar - Gloucester's older, legitimate son. Edgar plays many different
roles.
Edmund - Gloucester's youngest illegitimate son.
Kent - A nobleman who is loyal to King Lear.
Albany - The husband of Lear's daughter Goneril, good at heart, but
indecisive and lacks foresight.
Cornwall - The husband of Regan, domineering, cruel, and violent.
Fool - Lear's jester.
Oswald - The steward, or chief servant to Goneril.
