Auditions for ELEANOR 10 AM to noon Saturday, January 20th. After that by appointment. Seeking cast for a production of ELEANOR, an original musical based on the life of Eleanor Roosevelt. The musical, written by Suzanne Cohen, was successfully produced in Easton, NY in 2012. Cohen has already been awarded a substantial Community Grant for this production by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council. Performances will be in at Salem Courthouse Theater, at the new Greenwich Village Theater, and in Hudson Falls at the Strand Theater. Performances will be April 27-28, May 5, and May 11-12. The three leads, Eleanor, Franklin, and Hick will receive stipends. Leading roles are Eleanor, who plays Roosevelt from teenager to middle age (soprano), Franklin (base or tenor), and Lorena Hickock, "Hick," Eleanor's love interest (alto). Roles also include President Theodore Roosevelt, Eleanor's parents, Lucy Page Mercer, Roosevelt children, child factory workers, debutant ball attendees, etc. This will be a fun and exciting production to be a part of.
